Improving your serve can significantly enhance your game. Here's a quick guide to add power and precision to your serve:
Stance and Grip: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly pointing towards the baseline. Grip your paddle with a Continental grip for better control.
Weight Transfer: Start with your weight on your back foot. As you swing to hit the ball, shift your weight forward onto your front foot, driving power from your legs.
Paddle Swing: Use a low to high paddle swing. Imagine drawing a large 'U' shape in the air with your paddle. This movement helps create topspin, making the serve more challenging to return.
Practice Drill: Serve from the baseline aiming for different targets on the court. Adjust your power and angle based on where you want the ball to land.
