Enhance Your Game with Deep Groundstrokes
Take your pickleball game up a notch with powerful and accurate groundstrokes.
Mastering Deep Groundstrokes
Groundstrokes are crucial for maintaining control during rallies and pushing your opponent back. Today, we focus on developing deep groundstrokes to dominate the baseline.
Step-by-Step Action Plan:
- Footwork: Position yourself behind the baseline with a solid stance and knees slightly bent.
- Preparation: Rotate your shoulders sideways, pull your paddle back, and load your weight on the back foot.
- Contact Point: Swing forward, making contact with the ball just in front of your body. Aim to hit the ball at waist height with a firm grip.
- Follow Through: Finish your swing with the paddle high, driving the ball deep into the backcourt.
- Drill: Practice hitting 20 deep shots to the backcourt target area. Focus on consistency and depth.
Build your confidence with these drills and watch your game improve significantly!
All the best,
Your pickler friend, Frank Sanchez
