Build Stamina with Effective Drills

Boost your endurance on the court with these stamina-focused drills.

Hey Pickleball Enthusiasts,

To stay competitive and strong throughout long matches, you need to build your stamina. Here are two effective drills that will make a difference:

1. Figure-8 Footwork Drill

Set up two cones about 10 feet apart. Move in a figure-8 pattern around the cones, focusing on maintaining a low center of gravity.

  • Start with 1-minute intervals.
  • Gradually increase to 3 minutes as your stamina improves.

2. Baseline-to-Kitchen Drill

Start at the baseline and sprint to the kitchen line. Once there, shuffle from side to side and then return to the baseline.

  • Do this for 5 repetitions.
  • Rest for 1 minute and repeat for 3 sets.

Work these drills into your routine, and you’ll notice an improvement in your stamina, allowing you to stay strong in those critical moments.
